Easy Transport
Great Plains has raised the bar with the introduction of the new 8000 Disc-O-Vator Narrow line of four new models specifically designed for narrow transport needs and can be purchased in 15' to 24' versions. Seven-inch shank spacing with 9" sweeps ensure good cutout.
The well-proven range of Simba Disc Harrows combines strength and durability with outstanding performance and low running costs. Experience shows offset discs continually outperform conventional disc harrows in difficult conditions and are less affected by changes in forward speed. Simba Disc Harrows, which have constantly developed in line with increased tractor horsepower and demands for wider machines, are designed to tow either rolls or presses to improve their cultivation effect and leave a weatherproof surface.
Now available with a new hydraulic auto-reset tine option, the Great Plains Simba DTX® is extremely versatile. Designed as a mounted one pass stubble incorporator/soil loosener for tractors in the 200-360hp range, it can be used as a first entry machine into non- inversion tillage or to knock down ploughing, whilst loosening down to 400mm. It is also ideally suited to establishing oilseed rape straight into stubble, as it leaves a very level, fine and consolidated seedbed.
Built around proven, innovative components mounted on a central chassis, Great Plains Simba SL cultivators are capable of carrying out a number of operations in a single pass.
With working widths of 4, 5, 6 and 7 metres respectively, the SL 400, 500, 600 and 700 models feature a Disc Tine Disc (DTD) configuration. Comprising a single row of Pro-Active disc units followed by two rows of ST tines, another set of discs and a 600mm DD Lite rear roller (700mm DD roller on the SL 700), this versatile machine really gets the job done.
The Great Plains Simba SLD now offers a choice of two new models, the 300 and the 350, offering working widths of 2.8m and 3.3m respectively. These new additions to the SLD family further increase the versatility of this impressive machine.
A deeper working version of the SL cultivator, the Great Plains Simba SLD incorporates some of the principles of the well-proven and ever-popular Solo, and bridges the gap between the two machines.
The Simba ST Bar with between 4 and 7 ST tines can be fitted ahead of Mounted X-Press models with working widths of between 2.5 and 4 metres. This transforms the machine into a one pass cultivator for tractors between 145hp and 220hp.
The Great Plains Simba TL is a linkage-mounted cultivator designed primarily for use on lighter soils, and in rotations including root crops and vegetables. It features three rows of spring-reset cultivating tines that can work deep enough to incorporate large volumes of trash, such as potato haulm or the remains of field vegetables, or perform a thorough soil loosening action ahead of further cultivation.
A compact disc harrow with an integrated press roll, the versatile X-Press combines high speed shallow cultivations with effective consolidation.
Available as a mounted machine in 2.5m, 3m, 3.5m and 4m widths and as a trailed unit in 4.6m, 5.5m, 6.6m 8m and 10m widths, the X-Press can be used in reduced cultivation systems, to incorporate stubble or to work down ploughing in more conventional regimes.
